I didn't end up using DNA Baser because the feature I wanted, checking multiple chromatographs in an alignment, is available in Invitrogen's Vector NTI, which I already can access. DNA Baser also corrupted my "Show Desktop" shortcut icon in my computer's toolbar, and even though I've deleted DNA Baser, the Show Desktop icon converts to a DNA Baser icon, which I really don't appreciate.

Best tool EVER! The price is also amazing. The way how this DNA sequence and assembly program automates things is amazing. It can automatically trim low quality ends, insert metadata, remove vectors/primers, suggest corrections for ambiguities and save the contigs to disk in less than 10 seconds.

first toughts I loaded two sets of abi files, which are suppossed to form two contigs. (These two contings should form one finally, after some steps of chromose walking) I am able to see one contig only. It is not clear how to switch between two contigs.

Nice and easy I got the IWC, and it works great, it's nice and easy to work with. Of course there are some limits to it, but that is to be expected. Only one thing bothers me, I cant change the color of the background to match my website. So until then I might not use this...

Great counters I used Publisher to create a quick web page and was interested in adding a counter to it. Not knowing anything about how to do that I searched for options that would allow a straight copy paste of the code. I came across the Idaho Web Counter and gave it a whirl. It offered a good selection of counters and was very easy to use and implement into Publisher created web pages. Thank you.

Only occasionally works This crashed when scanning several different directories. If they ever fix this problem, the program might be worth something.
